Yahoo Travel again puts Manila in the top 10 list for Top World Destination for 2008. Forget the political noise (the morons at the Senate and that fucked up guy named Lozada), the scandalous blogs (sigh) , Manila is hot ticket and still sizzling as ever. With the recent opening of one of the biggest oceanariums in Asia, and continuing developments all over the metro (Greenbelt 5, Serendra, MoMA, the Neochinatown). The metropolis of about 15 million people continues to suprise the most jaded of travellers. :)

weh. hindi ako mahilig sa threesome.
ReplyDeleteactually we need to clean up our air, take out the squatters, and build more hotels . open up T3. put tourist friendly infrastructure and educate Filipinos how beautiful our country and to take care of it. and yeah - round up Jamby Madrigal, Ping Lacson and Nene Pimentel along with Jun Lozada - shoot them and dragged their corpses and feed them to the barracudas at the oceanarium. :D
ReplyDeleteparang ang ganda ng pic jan ng Manila Ocean Park. heheh
ReplyDeleteartist rendition.... i couldnt find a very good photo eh...
ReplyDeletekaya pala hehe.
ReplyDeletesana ginawa nilang walkalator din yang oceanarium nila na yan (or kung ano man ang tawag sa section na yan ng Ocean Park), tulad nung sa Sentosa and Georgia Aquarium. diba kasi effort naman, nakatingala ka na, tapos maglalakad ka pa. or nagpapaka-brat lang ako? LOL!
he he he he he he... it sure wouldnt hurt kaya lang mahirap magpapicture ng gumagalaw ka!

I'm from Cebu)...and i heard about that Manila Ocean Park... :D
ReplyDeleteoh yeah!!
ReplyDeletebtw Manila was number 5 last year.

Philippines is a cool travel destination :) foreigners ought to check out our country ya know. Although our government sucks like big time still our country has a lot to offer. Our beaches can even compete with Phuket, Thailand or mas maganda pa beaches natin compared to Thailand hehehehe!
ReplyDeleteThailand is just cheaper and accessible. :)
ReplyDeleteTrue :) and the plane ticket is not that expensive hehehehe!
ReplyDeleteand if you are coming from europe. Thailand is close to Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia and its easier for them to jump around.
ReplyDeletePlus they have prostitutes whose va jay jay's smokes cigarettes. ;)
That is so true. Thailand is right smack in the middle and its pretty much accessible to hop to other places. Prostitutes? ahahaha! that is a different story.
ReplyDeleteIts cheap too!
ReplyDeletei meant the prostitutes. LOL
^^ I meant the prostitutes LOL
ReplyDeleteOh! hahahahaha! definitely...
ReplyDeleteFor pedo's, they just go to Cambodia or whatever. Oh boy.
or go to pattaya or phuket.
ReplyDeletePattaya? oh boy! Pattaya has loads of 'em.
ReplyDeleteI find Pattaya scary.
yep entire country's economy is based on tourism mostly. and come on you go to thailand for the temples? dami punta dun for sex.
ReplyDeleteand what's even funny is that the Thai people deny it with all their might that they are not the sex capital of the world...aw come on yo! I'll rub off Pat Pong infront of their faces...hehehe!
ReplyDeleteyeah... sad... but well...
ReplyDeletethough not as cosmo as singapore, culturally rich as bangkok, and historically relevant as saigon, manila is a good place to be. it would be better though if the city can come up with a more efficient public transport, put up more interesting places other than malls, and improve on it's tourism campaign.
ReplyDeleteManila's cultural heritage (i.e. buildings) were mostly destroyed during the last World War. Culture wise- Manila is home to one of the best philharmonic orchestra and performing arts in Asia, a vibrant indie film scene, and historically Manila is one of the more important cities in Asia Pacific.
ReplyDeleteI agree tho that we needed better transport and the problem of pollution and informal settlers needed to be addressed.
and along with the transport thing... more courteous taxi drivers... and yes about those slums... mejo mahirap na yata yun... kahit sinugin mo isang block ng shanties, kinabukasan nakatayo na ulit like nothing happened.
ReplyDeletebad drivers are everywhere mate. :) but slums should be totally wiped out and the people relocated.
ReplyDeleteWow - :D loving the Philippines!
ReplyDeletenothing like it in the world. love it hate it but then you love it again!
ReplyDeleteyeah :D I agree!
ReplyDeletewooooooooooohhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Repost ko to ha?
ReplyDeletesure man!
