  11. hey R !
you really need a good Dcam to photodocument your various travels
at the risk of sounding like a salesman , of which I am not
get yourself a trusty Panasonic Lumix G1/ GH1
it a low-profile( aka hindi pansinin ) camera with very much advanced features , image stabilization , responsive shutter , and it delivers excellent still/video images
it also gives you the advantage of shooting from a rather discreet position
by way of its flip LCD screen .
    tally ho !

  16. when the Good Lord grant me to win a major prize in the lottery
o kaya naman i would be blessed by a much better paying job
than the one i lost most recently
then that should not pose as a big problem
galugarin mo lang ang buong Pinas and shoot every notable thing in sight
just to let the rest of the world know that the country has tons of things on offer
not only to Albinos but to uninformed Flips as well.
its funny though... with his astronomic salary and attendant job perks
Secretary Dick Gordon should have no problem
equipping his team with very good photographic equipment
the way you guys are promoting his office .

let me tell you R that one of my dreams is to be able to own a pair of
a North American OV-10 Broncos extensively modified to perform aerial photogrammetry
and conduct a broad image database of the Philippines to be published and updated regularly .
in Hongkong , there is a large format picture book regularly sold to the public in bookstores which magnificently depicts HK from the air , aptly called OVER HONGKONG
it offers a delightful bird's-eye view of HKs infrastructure , citiscape , its countryside and outlying islands which can never be seen at ground level .

consider the following exciting aerial photographic possibilities :

the view of the entire Metropolis taken by day , by dusk , or under the moonlight
the entire length of Kennon Road , Mac Arthur Highway or EDSA as viewed from the air
an extreme vertical shot of Mts. Mayon , Pinatubo , LakeTaal and other prominent geographic peaks
the tracing of the once established Northbound/Southbound PNR line
aerial surveys of the Cagayan, Agno Rivers , and other major waterways
aerial coverage of the amazingly- beautiful butdangerously- hostile tulisan-infested Southern Mindanao including the entire Sulu Archipelago .
aerial shots of every major city in the country , and so on , and so forth , and such like .

a personal desire of Quixotic proportions , you might say
but somebody has to make it all happen
we owe it all to ourselves and to future generations of bright Pilipinos
to thoroughly educate ourselves about the beauty of our country .

...all these can be best achieved by us , thinking Flips
unless, of course , if we were shot down by some dumb-assed security guard mouthing his classic line : BAWAL ANG MAG-KODAK DITO BAWAL !

then i , myself would shoot back BAWAL ANG BOBONG GAGONG PILIPINO DITO !
    BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL

  17. I agree, aerial photography seems to be the next level, although Id really like to document the daily in the islands - the beautiful scenery and the people and the natural quirkiness of the Filipinos. . :) btw, Dick Gordon is no longer the Tourism Sec, si Ace Durano na... They have been doing better jobs I think and the materials for brochures are better now... In fact they use glossies na! :P Yeah, I don't get that - why do security guards never allow some buildings to be photographed? Tsk...
